Moving On

I admit i am feeling rather lost as my clothes and essentials get packed into bags as i get ready to face another challenging phase in life. I remember wishing that the six month holiday we were granted would make way for university life all those days i was rotting away at home. The time has come, my friends, where we part ways and embrace the joy of pursuing a degree!

I know some of you have already started classes in MMU and UTAR, I sincerely hope that all is going well over there and you have made many close friends. Many will be starting orientation this coming week and i'm sure many are anxiously hoping and praying that they'll be assigned wonderful roommates, because unhygienic roommates are a sore, and so are rude and inconsiderate ones.

Two weeks ago, my college group in church threw a farewell for me and another friend leaving for Sydney. I thought i would share with you the advice given by those who have been studying in university for sometime already, whether it be locally or abroad.

* pauses for a moment to wonder whether anybody even reads this blog anymore. Oh well, since i started typing, i might as well go on.

Studying is not everything! Like obviously right :) Get involved in activities. I guess in the end how you view your uni life after you graduate is partly dependant on how you socialize and get to know people. You can chooose to be a hermit and stay cooped up in your room, but oh how pathetic that would be. I shudder at the very thought of it. Then again, if you occupy a 4 bedded room, I doubt a hermits life would be anywhere near achievable.

Get involved in CF/Church! A few friends shared how it's so easy to skip church just because there's no transport available/no one there really knows if you skip church just once/uni life sometimes means late saturday nights etc. Scary but sadly it's true.

I can't really remember everything said. My apologies, i admit my brain has been rather inactive these days.

To tell the truth, i'm not very sure where everyone is headed to. I wish there were an updated list somewhere. Secretary? Haha

University life, bring it on!
